T2B88

END OF TERM TWO!!

Today in class, we had a period where the teachers just checked work for term to completion marks. I was trying to finishing our presentation reviews - and I was hoping for some hints about my marks. BUT NOOOOOOO
THE DAMN BELL JUST HAD TO RING RIGHT BEFORE HE COULD CALL MY NAME. WHAT IS THIS - DOES THE TIME HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST ME o.OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'M HOPING i'LL GET AN A - CAN YOU CONFIRM, MR OLSON?

T2B87

OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS - MY COMPUTER JUST DELETED MY LAST BLOG. I THINK THE PUBLISH BUTTON FAILED ME, SO NOW I'M GONNA TRY TO REMEMBER AND RETYPE MY LAST BLOG: HERE GOES

OK so today at lunch I went to ask mr. Sale about my overall socials mark for this term, and he sang AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. OK so he didn't really sing, but in my mind he did. :) Im super psyched about this grade since last term I only got a B in socials, I honestly did work really hard. Considering the fact that a W AYYYYYYYYYY overstudied for my history exams, and totally blew off the covers in my religions project: *AHEM  Jason & Andy - my PARTNERS who were supposed to HELP  me in this presentation since they were my GROUP MEMBERS in my GROUP. WORKING TOGETHER  so we could earn a grade as a GROUP*  just saying. LOOOL

I deserve an  AAAAAAAAAAAAA. I really do ( in my mind). no seriously. not in there. out here. :P I'm really sorry if what i'm saying isn't really making any sense right now.

T2B86

Tomorrow, we're all gonna have to walk in the slush, since it most likely wont snow again tonight. This means that overnight, all of this will turn into slush. Then tomorrow, the nightmare will begin. My shoes will get soaked and my socks will get wet and my feet will get cold. I'll be jumping puddles all the way to school. POSITIVE - THE CLASSROOM WILL SEEM A MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL PLACE WHEN I GET THERE> :D

T2B85

MELTING

Having to do with snow: ICE , SLUSH,

TODAY MORNING I WAS SHOVELING SNOW WITH MY MOM AND MY BROTHER. This is how it went.

I was trying to prepared to get soaked and cold so I put on 5 LAYERS of clothe, 2 pairs of socks, and 3 layers of pants. My mom though I was crazy. I had a bit of trouble going down the stairs. With my 2 scarves, I couldn't see the steps.

THEN....

my brother wouldn't give me the big shovel so i had to use the mini one. By the end when we were done, my back bone was deformed and I couldn't bend to see anything except my shoes. Now at least I could see my feet. Now wait for it... MY BROTHER BEGAN THROWING AND POUNDING ON THE SNOW. IT WENT ALL OVER THE SIDEWALK, SO I HAD TO RESHOVEL THE PLACE. WHEN I GOT OT MY ROOM, I MADE THE MISTAKE OF SITTING ON THE HEATER. AFTER BEING IN THE SNOW, THE HEATER WAS BURNING. I FELT LIKE I SAT ON FIRE. ..... ok too much information.

T2B84

Mr. Olson, what would you do if your mom suffers from mental illness and accidentally dropped your child off a five story building, killing her. How would you react? This is bascially exactly what really happened. I read this on Mr. Sale's Current Events Foum. So now your kids dead and ur mom's going to jail. tough times...

T2b83

THE SOCIALS FORUM TODAY.

So it's coming to the end of the term and for the past 3 classes, Mr. Sales has been talking to us about our socials forum. I forgot to ask him how many points I'm at so far, so right now, I have been posting on the current events section like there's no tomorrow. I hope this will be all worth it when my marks come out. I really really want an A in socials this term. I can get it right? Personally, I think I did do better on the forum this term than I did last term. At least that's what it feels. like. Kevin Zhou's so funny - he's been on the forum for the past 24 hours as well. He probably though his socials mark was in jeopardy as welll hahahahha

T2B82

SNOW??!!??!!

Now normally on a day like this, I would be really glad that there's snow because it would be worth it. But of all the winter days in the past pathetic cold months, IT JUST HAD TO SNOW TODAY. TODAYS THE ONLY DAY IN 365 THAT I WOULD WANT THE WEATHER TO RAIN OR SHINE OR JUST BE COLD. This is because my mom won't drive me to by the stuff I need for this art project I'm working on if its ice or snow. The streets are safe, not a lot of snow - WHY CAN'T SHE DRIVE ME. I NEED A BETTER EXCUSE. HOW CAN I POSSIBLY ENJOY SUCH A PRECIOUS RARE SNOW DAY WHEN IT MEANS I CAN'T GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!?!

T2B81

http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html

You've got to read this site. I was surfing the web and found it. Mr. Olson, I'm not too sure, but they're referring to water rite? Dihydrogen Monoxide... The dangers.

T2B80

ARGHHHHHHHHH sometimes I find it hard to blog everyday. I don't always have a chance to go online, since everyone's fighting for the computer all the time at my house. I have a laptop, but my dad banned me from using it for a few months. Whack rite. MY HOMEWORK IS AT STAKE... but i guess that's just my punishment for violating some deals we made.

T2B79

So there's this kid I've been trying to chat with online for a long time. But I never know whether that person's online or not because his ipods always turned on. Every time I talk to him, I always end up talking to myself. What a waste of electricity. Jacob, ur rite, i do need to get a life at the moment. but you do too. Don't deny it.

T2B77 - A DRAMATIC situation

It's funny - I was watching this chinese drama earlier in the week. My parents got mad at me. They said that I live int he modern world and need to do more stuff that are in fad here in present-day Canada. I told them that Asian dramas are a big fad today. They just got even more angry. I hate arguing with my mom - its pointless. I can never win. She just changes the topic and punishes me for something I did a month ago if she doesn't have a comeback. Then, later that nite, she was watching her 1980s drama episodes. So i guess people are only allowed to watch stuff from their generation? NO. I can loosen up a bit and watch whatever I want once in a while, can I???

T2B75 - MURDER SHE WROTE

HOLY CRAP A KNIFE...
OK so today, my mom brought home a really really sharp crystal knife . It had traces of red stuff near the tip. I gASPED. no really nothing happened. No one was killed. just my mom opened an envelop with a valentines day card made of sandpaper. freaked you out for a sec, did I?

T2B74

Hey, Mr. Olson, did ms Anderson already mark all the brain presentations and stuff? cause I'm having trouble linking my presentation onto the excel. I'll come early on Monday, could you help me?

T2B73

This is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy freaky. The actor of Percy in Percy Jackson and the Olympians movies looks just like Zac Efron. Either that or I really don't know hwat zac efron looks like. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. hehe
The actress who plays Annabeth wayyyy off from the description in the book. Really, did these people evenr ead this book? Annabeth is supposed to have blonde hair and stormy grey eyes. The actress int he movie has brown hair and blue eyes. She's pretty, but not exactly what the book fans are after. i though she was Clarisse at first. Mr. Olson, you must think I'm crazy and what does it matter, but i'm critical!!!!!!!!!!

T2B72 - THE JUSTIN BIEBER FAD PICS

When was he ever bald? My mom says he's hideous this way, like one of them people with caner.

Really? My gosh i can't believe this. What the... THIS IS MOCKING CANADA

THIS IS JUST PLAIN WEIRD. GOMEZ AND HER BIG BUBBLE HEAD AND BIEBER THE DWARF. - my friend, as you can see, really dislikes JB

T2B71

Never say Never - so that's the New Justin Bieber fanatic. I haven't seen it yet, but they say it's a biography of his life. This movie is the new hit of the year probably. I know a few kids who once hated him, but now completely have the bieber fever. People used to hate him. I'm not sure why. I've always thought that he was okay. He's got a good voice, but i don't think he deserves that many fans. Is he truly good enough to be famous world-wide? Idk - what's his real talent? Spirit. I do admit that his dancing is pretty rad.

btw, he just god a new haircut, and Rachel thinks it's so hot. I have never seen anyone croon over JB like that before. In the NEVER SAY NEVER trailer, some girls said that  he gives them hope. Isn't that just ridiculous? HAHAHAHA

T2B70

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH - Here's my complaint about Dora/Diego blog #2. The damn video, why do they have to make so many episodes. The TV at our is always on, as long as my brother and my mom are home. Today, I managed to finally watch my Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie - the Lightning Theif.  It was awesome, but the story was completely modified from the book. The entire adventure had a different purpose, and so many really cool characters and gods were eliminated. I guess it would cost to much money for the crew team. I really wish they would quickly make the movie for the second book. Jerry was right, this movie is good. The percy jackson series will probably become the new Harry Potter phenominon.

T2B69

I'm not sure what to write about now, so I'm just gonna write about how i feel right now - which is really, really annoyed. My brother is right now watching his Diego CD for the 7th time tonite. Ever since he got home, he watches the same thing everyday. Doesn't he get tired of it? I wonder sometimes, he probably doesn't even understand. He doesn't answer the questions and just laughs at the stupid pictures. I've basically got the theme song memorized: " Go Diego Go. we're animal researchers. We cand o it. Swiper no swiping. Do you see a blah blah blah...? " I used to think Dora and Diego were educational videos, now I really hate them. My brother doesn't like sharing the TV either.  I was trying to watch a Percy Jackson video, and he cried for 2 hours before my mom gave up, got mad, got annoyed, and yelled at me to not watch. Somehow, he always manages to annoy my mom into getting his way. And I, the innocent one, have to suffer. T_T

T2B68

68, this is about the number of blogs I wrote last term.
I'm not so sure, how are we supposed to do the Go homework that supposed to be done in an "agenda"?

T2B67

OH NOOOOOOOO! All the term 2 Applied Skills work has to be done on Monday?!?!?! That's nearly impossible. We just learned about time planning and priorities - could we set the brain presentation reviews to next term? I'm having a mental breakdown rite now. *serves you rite Judy for not doing everything earlier.
PLEASE PLEASE CAN WE HAVE MORE TIME?

T2B65

OH MY GAWD SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How long do you think it'll last. So far, this winter has been really cold, wet, or cold, dry, or just cold to the bones. This morning the snow started at around 11 am. At 3 it was really big, and now it looks like they're starting to die down. It's gonna be a white winter for the rest of the week. Oh no, I hope i didn't just jinx it. Snow is so pretty in general - the clean, calm, pureness, and whiteness of it. Too bad we can pollute it so bad that it turns brown.

By the way, here's one way to check how dirty swings really are. wipe some pure snow on it. It will come out brown. I know, gross isn't it? Have you ever been skiing or snowboarding? It's a must try experience. But always remember to wear a face mask and goggles. Going downhill with the snow pinning and slapping against your face is really painful after a while.

T2B64

PERSEPHONE"S TALE:

So today, I did my presentation on Persephone - the Goddess of innocence, rebirth, Spring, and the Queen of the Underworld. I think the article I wrote was much better than my oral presentation. Here's a copy of my article so you can see how awesome essay was. It is written in first-person.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/18kJEjDTqAqBlWuNM4KKHsnbLL3PTqYDE4tWhfdo5k6k/edit?hl=en#

T2B63 - To keep or not keep...

So nows the big question. I just taken my science fair home, and like every other project I've made in the past, I totally love it. But it would be kind of expensive to buy a science fair display board every year. Many of my classmates too apart their boards at school today. You can hardly blame Tony for it, who basically spent 2 hours on this 5 months project. We got many good laughs at it, esp. Kevin Dhir. I don't want to take apart my board - it took so long to make, and believe me, i consider it a work of art. (not bragging not braggin. LOL) I guess I'll leave this problem to decide next year when I have to do another science fair. Maybe by then, I'll be tired of this board. i highly doubt that though

oh, i wish i could take of picture of my science fair, but i can't find my camera dammit.

T2B62 - SUPER PSYCHED ABOUT THE SCI-FAIR

GOSH, I'M SUPER EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAUSE GUESS WAT?!?!?!?! I JUST GOT 94% ON MY SCIENCE FAIR. THAT'S REALLY HIGH SO I'M PROUD. THEN AGAIN I TOTALLY DESERVE IT RIGHT, I DID SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON IT. BTW, CONGRATZ TO ALEX, LESLIE, AND CYNTHIA FOR MAKING IT INTO THE DISTRICT SCIENCE. WHEN IS IT ANYWAY???????? THEY HAD REALLY COOL TOPICS, ESPECIALLY CYNTHIA AND HER HOCKEY STICK EXPERIMENT. ALEX'S BOARD WAS MAZING, IT LOOKED SOOOO PROFESSIONAL. AND LESLIE'S, WELLLL.... I DIDN'T REALLY SEE HERS BUT IT HAD TO DO SOMETHING WITH DRIVING SAFETY I THINK. GOOD JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH I HAD MADE IT. MAKE SURE TO TELL ME ALL ABOUT THE DISTRICT SCIENCE FAIR. i REALLY WANT TO KNOW.XD.

I guess when I make everything capitalized, its really like not capitalizing it at all. Quite pointless...

T2B61

Kay - so earlier this week, I went to this 15th anniversary celebration at a church in Burnaby for my Chinese school. It was pretty cool. Government officials came all the way from China, and a really pro acrobatic team of girls (10-13) performed for us flying in all the way from  Sichuan China, the place where the massive earthquake took place. They did really dangerous stuff like balancing on a rolling bucket and flipping backwards really fast while running and juggling 5 poles attached to spinning disks in each hand. All the speech and stuff was really boring, but the acrobatic show was the only thing that kept me really awake. It was really exciting, with everyone cheering and wowing. When they make a mistake, they tried again and succeeded.

T2B60

All the religions on social studies are beginning to get mixed up in my head. They all want us to not kill animals, to respect our ancestors in some way, to use good language, to end suffering, to find true happiness, to end salvations. blah blah blah. But aren't these all the things we should be doing regularly? respecting people, using good language, not killing, not committing crime. One of the Buddhist says were to "ONLY SPEAK WHEN NECESSARY!!!!!!!!!!" Everyone started laughing when I said that. What's so funny?  OK so maybe I speak a little too much, but Jacob says I EPIC FAIL  at that. ..... :(  BTW according to the news around a month ago, weren't fail and epic banned from the English language? With all the commotion in Egypt. They still have time to make stupid language laws like this. People are still gonna used these words anyway...

T2B59

My mom and dad tell me that sleeping helps you grow taller. And frankly, I'm really worried right now, cause there are periods of time where i sleep wayyyyyyyyyy past midnight. I feel like im shrinking. HELP what should i do now. I've learned my lesson about procrastination and wasting my time on urgent but unimportant stuff. Hobbies, basically. im so sleepy now though.

... more ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

T2B58

This is starting to feel just like the week before the science fair was due, when we had a HUGE Exam or project or test in nearly every subject on every day of the same week. Thinking back about it now, I'm not even sure how i got through it.  I just wish and yes, I do regret, that I did most of my work earlier. Im glad i have the big homework and stuff all done. Now, just the little things and assignments. But these small homeworks really pile up big over time. I should have planned out my time like Jack in the Go video.

T2B57

TERM TWO IS WRAPPING UP AND ALL THE HOMEWORK IS PILING UP AGAIN>

Let's see here. I've got to check through all my go lessons to make sure i did them and didn't skip anything, socials forum to catch up on, a lot of presentation reviews to finish. OH NO...  I should really do a list. OK, let's do this:

1. Brain presentation reviews
2. Go Lessons check up
3. socials forum
4. socials relgiion tests
5. BLOGS - gotta keep up
6. ENGLISH GOD presentation. ( at least i"ll be over that on Thursday)

7. to be continued once i think of more. I am currently experiencing a brainfreeze.

T2B56

I Forgot to do a few blogs, so now I am freakishly trying to make up for them. this is so sad. I have failed my first goal for term 2. (hey mr. Olson, I'm not gonna lose marks on that am I) My first goal of this term was to make sure to keep posting blogs every day. I was on a good streak on the beginning, then things started to fall apart. HOW COULD THIS BE!!!!!!!! must work harder next term. Right now, im so tired by i still have a lot of homework. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

T2B55

SHINTO - Japan's number one religion. This class, it is the easiest brochure to memorize. Screw Hindusim!!!! LIllian included a whole bunch of weird indian vocabulary that we now have to distinguish and memorize. Mormonism has a whole bunch of beliefs that are all so complicated. It is half and hour to midnight and I am freakiing out about the set of relgions test tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH GOSH - WHY DO I STILL HAVE A ScIENCE LAB REPORT OF FINISH???

T2B54

THE FIRST GREEK GODS PRESENTATIONS................

Oh my gosh - this is probably among the most interesting presentations i've ever done. We have to pretend we're a greek god/goddess and give a presentation. BTW I'm persephone - Queen of the Underworld. kool eh?

Vivian's hair was so pretty today. Her mom help her braid it all and put it into curls. she was playing Hera, along with Zeus, who was played by kevin dhir. He looked like an Arabian merchant all veilled up in his white sheets, white headdress, and white fake beard.

Alex was Cupid - he gave us all free chocolate. (bribing, but we still like his presentations. LOL)

Cynthia looked gorgeous!!! in her grad dress and all. She was Artemis. With a very very very very long tale.

Kathy C was Athena - draped in white sheets, and Natasha was Hestia - the nicest goddess int he world, in charge of her hearth and all.

Fiona was AWESOME - and had all the nerve. She was the only presenter along ith Kevin Dhir who completely memorized her speech. And She did her presentation first. Go PROMETHEUS!!!!!!!!!!!

T2B53

Our Scientology and Asatru test was a piece of cake. Mainly because Scientology only has dynamics, not really its own religion. So basically, this meant we didn't have to memorize any gods, dates, worhip methods. etc. Just the Dianetcs, and in Asatru - We just had to memorize a whole bunch of sacred animals. Not complaining here, just happy we got off so easy on the first quiz

Chammy's awesome blogs - T2B52

OMG  I just read Chammy's blog - the one about her langara run at sunset. It was so funny!!!! I loved how she made her story so much funnier when she added: " I saw the same grandma TWICE." and at the end, "My mom opened the door..." That was probably one of the best laughs I've had this week so far with the stress and the urgency and impatience of the socials religions presentation which by the way turned out totally unexpected. *cough cough Jason*. Mr. Olsen, that totally deserves kid of the week hands down.

T2B51

Ugh - midnight. That when I end up having to do homework when I use the computer after my mom watches TV online. My family really needs to figure out our priorities better. Honestly - homework or TV, even though my mom gets really annoyed. OKies so let's look at the proactive side to this situation:  it exercises my speed to finish work. And if i don't get going on it now, all of this is gonna have to repeat tomorrow again. uh oh. Gotta go. Mom alert now.

Science Fair Due Tomorrow - T2B50

Tomorrow morning at 8:30, our science fair is due. FINALLY. After like 5 months, this big weight is lifted off our shoulders. Personally, not to be bragging, but I'm pretty proud of myself. We should have some kind of celebration, us synergy kids. Brainstorm ideas: party, day off, cafeteria coupons. Note to Mr. Olson:  You're welcome to grant us any of these ideas. I'm sure everyone would appreciate it. :) BTW: what size knitting needles do we need for your next unit. I bought size 5 and polyester( if that's how you spell it). I knitted before... but briefly.

Overstudying - T2B49

That's something I tend to do. I fretted for my science test, but it was a piece of cake, not that I'm complaining.I guess either way, we learn the same material. The concept sheet for review was harder than writing the test. The aspects covered were density, heat, temp, measurement, states of matter, viscosity, buoyancy, and KMT. Most of this is common sense, which made the studying WAYYYYY easier. The hardest science test this school year was in the first term when we had to memorized the organelles of a cell.

Well, that's another test/project down. Keep going...

T2B48

EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

This week is cramming with work due. Even though we don't have midterms, the stress level is up there already for us Synergy kids.
There's: science concept sheet
science test
English test
Socials test
science fair
socials presentation
english presentation

I'm so glad I'm done the brain presentation. That's less on my plate. I'm completely lost it last night. I guess this is a type of experience too

T2B47

My priorities:
homework
hobbies
friends/family

I guess this pathetic list could change sometimes, depending on who I'm with and how big of a portion a project is of my mark. Reading, online surfing and stuff like that are always high on my list. I love traveling, but I don't get to do that very often. BTW: I going to either Europe or HK this summer!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYY!!!!! I'm hoping to go to summer camp again next year. I know someone going to Venice during Spring Break. It's pretty cool there if you don't mind getting swayed all day.

T2B46

1. procrastinator
2. prioritizer

3. Yes-man
4. slacker

ok, so between these 4, I'm more of a slacker and a prioritizer. I can honestly say that I'm not much of a procrastinator, and not a complete Yes-man, but Yes-man's a good thing too right? Always there helping out friends. Otherwise your EBA would be really low and basically, a loner. I plan out my stuff everyday, but plans change when there's a good show on TV, or when I feel like biking, or when I want to finish a book. I guess I need to work on that, but sometimes, I just can't resist!
