Alison Sween, host for The Biggest Loser weight loss show is trying to get puppies to lose weight since there are an increasing number of pets overweight, just like it happened with humans.

HAHAHA funner things about Harper - T2B43

Harper looks back at his work with 'pride'
Check it out at 24 hr newspaper - January 24 2011
I swear you'll laugh... :P

On sunday, Harper and 1000 supporters gathered to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the election that brought the conservatives into government on  Jan 23 2006.
"Today, we may allow ourselves to pause, to take stock, to look back with satisfaction and perhaps just a little pride" Harper says.

I'm not so sure what he did that was so great.
He says: "What is important now - what is absolutely crucial -  is taht we do not tamper with the policies tat are working." - quote from our prime minister.
I'm so proud.
What the heck.Where's the proactive side to this?

OMG I ddn't even know, Mary-kate and Ashley olsen have a sister - Elizabeth olsen. I used to really like them until they start to wear too much make-up and look scary. They used to be so naturally pretty, like sunshine girls, but now they're pale and scary. Elizabeth looks just as scary - no offense if you're one of their fans. HAHA she plays a young woman grappling for sanity in "Silent House". Perfect  for scary looking woman with pail skin and gaunt eyes...... or vampire.

who knew lemon juice is the only juice that grows mould so quickly in comparison to orange and grapefruit juice. You know, I've never really seen mould before. Now that I have, not a big fan of lemonade anymore. It's gross, furry, thick, smelly, and green. It's my science project. Think PROACTIVELY: it's a living organism. :P

Grilled-Cheese Sandwiches:

These are among my favourite types of sandwiches, besides Subway's meatball sub and Quizno's Torpedo sub. I'm hungry and angry rite now :( I'm HANGRY. Here's how to make a grilled cheese sandvich:

two slices of buttered bread
two slices of cheddar cheese
one frying pan.
1. put one slice of bread in the pan BUTTER SIDE DOWN
2. put cheese on top
3. wait about a minute or two. The butter should be melted on the bottom side and starting to brown.
4. before you are ready to flip, place second slice of bread on the cheese BUTTER SIDE UP.
5. gently place finger on buttery side to hold in place as you flip entire sandwich with spatula.
6. now golden brown side is showing. Take spatula and gently but firmly press down on sandwich and flatten WITHOUT BREAKING THE BREAD.
7. once underside is golden brown place on plate and cut corner to corner.

T2B38

Srry, have no time to blog right now - must go finish my science experiment.... ARGGGGHHHH So many dang projects. At least now I'm finished my book talk and brain presentation. 2 down 2 more to go. *sigh*

T2B37

"Self-control is a way to freedom."

I got this phrase from my Go Progress. This really reflects something I remember my dad said to me when he got me my laptop: This laptop is a new freedom and privilege. Use it with self-control, or I will take it away as a harmful object." What do you know, typical dad.

THE LAST OLYMPIAN - by Rick Riordan

I have been waiting to get my hands on this book for over 4 months. Today, I finally found it in Oakridge library. It is supposed to be the last of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians. OMG Those were my favourite series like 2 years ago, just like Harry Potter. This particular book is really popular. My friend who put this book on hold a few months back said that there were 50 people in line waiting. Just that makes my head dizzy. ok now, I'm gonna get started on this book.

T2B35

ARGHHHHHHHHH - my computer crashed earlier. Now I have to rush some of my homework. It's like the Internet has something against me. So slow right now. This is why I like working on my laptop. Macbooks are fast unlike this ancient computer.

T2B34

I double-check. I'm not sure whether that's a comment or a problem, but that's what a few of my teachers said about me. Is being too sure about something or asking questionnes to confirm a bad thing? I don't see the downside.

T2B33

Parent's night. so that's tonite. You know, if I could find a curse where I could read people's minds, I'd use it now. I mean have you ever wondered what your teachers really think about you? or how your parents think about your comments? OH MY LANTA its 6:54. I should tell my mom to hurry up. That's a typical parent. They get mad at you when you're late.  They get mad at you for pointing out when they're late as well. *sigh*

T2B32

Pro-Ds
These days are so dull - i mean, being home alone, I'd much rather be at school. At least its more fun and time pasts more quickly. People say that you should enjoy your childhood. How come I'm not enjoying it so much? NVM think proactively. I get a break. It means more time for homework. The teachers get a break. .... I out of ideas......

The god of Buddhism - T2B31

wow - Buddhism - seems like the perfect set of beliefs to follow for enlightenment. In general, it applies to everyone: people who have nothing especially.  The Buddhism concept is that pain suffering, and owning very less is good for eternity and the afterlife. That's pretty much all the ordinary people in ancient China and India had - the least, so they all liked the Buddhist's reasoning.

Do you think it's true: the more we love the more suffering we have?

ARGHHHHH
Right now I'm in socials class - in the PC lab supposedly working on my world religions project. I was gonna do my sale trivia and food for though on thursday, but I forgot the password to my account. So sadly she says, now I've missed my duedate for this week and will lose 2 pointless marks.  I will have to catch up by doing a whole lot of current events points - see if I can get a few bonus points to make up.

Before this week, I was doing so well on keeping my weekly due dates up to date on the socials forum. NOOOOO!

Back at school - T2B29

woke up and feeling better this morning. So here i am, walking to school in the wind, freezing my ears off. Ugh, I have gym 1st block. this means headstand, which means headache, which means that I might get to review my breakfast again. right now it's lunchtime. oh, that's the bell - gotta go

BAI BAI DADDY!!!!!!!!!!1

That plane you see flying over your head right now and heading for HK, is the flight my dad's on. He left this morning at 9 o'clock. He left two hours early. Dad says: better safe than sorry. I'm not gonna risk it. So now he's gone. His visit this time was longer than usual. I'm not used to him being somewhere else anymore. WAHHHHHHHHHHH1 I want my daddy. Soooooooooooooo lG, but who cares now? I'm so depressed, and sick, and sore. T___T

Nauseau attack again.- T2B27

Today in school, I left at 12:10 pm. I was restless all morning - people who don't know me would guess that someone died. It took me like a good 20 minutes to get a hold of my dad on the phone. So this is what he does when I'm at school - make half an hour calls to his friends in HK. gosh. I slept until 7 o'clock at night, and still felt drowsy. What the HELL!! I was feeling fine yesterday. It's like my immune system has something against me. I get punished in both cases.

A white bus - T2B26

I don't feel very well - I had this dream last night that I was driving a white bus that spun and made me dizzy. My mom said I was up in the middle of the night with my head int he toilet. No wonder whenever I hit the turn signal, there was a flushing sound. I'm not sure what happened. I was feeling fine yesterday. Suddenly today, I have aches in my legs and arms, sores and a bad headache. Everything I eat seems to be hanging at my throat and ok I will stop typing. Well - my mom made some chicken noodle soup.

babbling little bro - T2B25

I'm sitting here working on homework, or was. We're in the living room, and behind me, my brother's babbling with my mom. My parents encourage him to speak aloud more english, but seriously after an hour and a half - i get really annoyed, my head's about to explode. I'm guessing all kids with 4/5 yrs old little brothers go through this. mmmmh pleasant. give me an exercise of patience. A sense of ability. I guess I could take advantage of this situation, and look at a positively, for me. BE PROACTIVE!!!!!!!!!1

T2B24

CROISSANTS - dessert of France.

I love these, although they're not all that healthy. A friend brought those over as a snack/meal. we stuffed them with nutella - and became fatasses. hehehehehe This is why breakfast is sometimes considered france's most wonderful meal. so simple - a cup of coffee/hot chocolate & a croissant. I SOOOOOOOOO want to go there - a sudden urge of wanting to go right now. I'm not sure why. I'm like this sometimes, overwhelmed by one subject, but then I get over it in a day or two. Tomorrow's longing might be back in china haha.

T2B23

Wow, I'm good. Today, I wrote my chinese term paper. I basically forgot about this exam until these two days. So when I say I barely studied, I'm not exaggerating - but I wish I were. still,  I'm incredible, I got 2nd place - a 98%. holy crap!* Chinese (mandarin) comes easy to me, since I speak it at home, so I've got a bit of an advantage, but still, I got such a high score on the written aspect. Impressive - *pat on the back*. That's another test down.

T2B22

World religions class - we're gonna start that in Socials (synergy) 8 next class. I hope I get taoism, shinto, buddhism, or jainism... They seem interesting. India is the origin of so many religions. It makes me dizzy to think about all the differences. I'm really new towards studying religion. What we've often done in the past is study culture and civilization. I guess this is more understanding towards a belief and a way of life. I don't really want a really broad topic - too hard to give a report on - there's too much info, but I don't want one where there are only 5 articles about it in the world wide web. I guess I'm picky picky, but everyone's like this - easier time. :)

I'm so excited about the religions we're gonna learn, less enthusiastic about the big projects, but still - filled with ecstasy.

thank god thank god - T2B21

today, I am officially finished my brain presentation. In fact, with a few more practice rounds of speech, I could probably volunteer to do my presentation on the14th - Friday. I want to do it near the beginning to get it over with, since I've got two more big projects to go. This way, I could begin to life some of the homework load off my back. Left-handedness. It's been lots of fun to research, to be honest - lots of really cool info I never new before. Who would have guess that all left handers had once had a twin, but they were absorbed back into the mother's body! Weird, but interestings. I put that under my Did You Knows

lundi 10 janvier 2011

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! - T2B20

The brain presentation is due next day - and I'm still abit confused about parts of the criteria. WHAT AM I GONNA DO?!!!!!!! Must find more time..... or Mr. Olson could be really nice and extend the due date just a day or two more. For now, thanx if you do. Oh well, I had to give it a shot of you don't. Peace.

T2B19

I've been reading Halfbrother by Kenneth Oppel - it's an awesome book, I tell you. It's his latest novel - not part of a series. It is influenced by a chimpanzee were a science drags his family across the country for a rare science experiment. I have to do my book talk on it, so I'm really taking it out in detail. I haven't read may of Oppel's books before, despite how immensely popular the Silverwing Saga is. After how much I loved Halfbrother, I should really try it out. There's one phrase I learned from Halfbrother that I really like. It goes something like this: When you take an animal away from its natural habitat, it will always be a prisoner in cells even if the owners are nice. The difference would be whether the prison guards (us) are nice or not.

T2B18

A word of advice - if you ever go skiing, go more than once. You'll get used to it and begin to enjoy it more towards the later days. I'm serious. I haven't been skiing in like about 2 years. Today, I come home very sore, in pain, tired, and cold. I also smell like skii boots. Whoopee. :(. We're probably going again tomorrow, so I'm gonna work on having a better time. It's a once-in-a-year kinda thing. It's my job to learn to (have to) love it.  I really do once I get used to the soreness.

Another word of advice - always bring a change of warm dried clothing. It'll be much more comfortable. Trust me, I've had experience.

lights OUT - T2B17

My Gosh!!!! - today - the electricity line cut down, so there was an unplanned new bedtime. It's about 6:30 - I'm gonna go to bed in a minutes. Seems funny to think of how little humans have now when electricity is not an option. No games, homework, light, TV, refrigeration, phone - that's most of our daily lives. We go back old-schooled and tried spotting stars. I only saw the big Dipper. I'm not too sure what many other constellations look like anyway. My mom told me a few chinese stories/legends about them. And to be honest, it was really pretty cool. I had a surprisingly good time and it was one of those nights where we were all ears. - happy ears:)
